Rally to Save the Great Walkway

They’re about to take away our oceanside park
Since April 2020, car-free space on Great Highway has attracted thousands of daily visitors of all ages and abilities to this new waterfront park and promenade. During the pandemic, it has been one of the city’s most visited recreational spaces, second only to Golden Gate Park.
Besides creating a large park to stroll, walk, run, bike, scoot, and skate, the ‘Great Walkway’ has hosted protests, art installations, concerts, and community gatherings. We need the Great Walkway now and into the future for our health, safety, climate, and economy.
Stand and walk with us Sunday to save the Great Walkway!
On Monday morning, vehicle traffic will return to our city’s ‘Great Walkway’ on weekdays. We must show city leaders that taking away this incredible oceanside park right now is the wrong move for so many reasons.
We need you to join us THIS Sunday, August 15 to rally to save the Great Walkway. We will gather at 10:30AM at Judah Street, rally at 11:00AM, and then walk and roll to Lincoln with a massive banner and signs (feel free to bring your own!) at 11:30AM.
