Lakes of Golden Gate Park
January 4, 2021 - December 31, 2022
An enchanting tour through hidden trails along the waterfalls, lakes, and ponds of Golden Gate Park.
The perfect event for avid walkers and runners, this route guides participants through some of the most scenic parts of Golden Gate Park. Our wonderful WalkLab volunteers (Nancy Botkin, Mike Smith, and Eric Chase) have meticulously created a map and turn-by-turn directions that will take you through beautiful forests and gardens, along the stunning waterfalls, lakes, and ponds of Golden Gate Park.
Purchasing a ticket powers our advocacy – including pushing for a permanent car-free JFK Drive in Golden Gate Park!
Be advised: These walks may include uneven paths, dirt trails, and stairways, as well as street terrain.
The two segments are five miles each and take an estimated two hours each to complete. You can do them separately or on the same day.
Lakes of Golden Gate Park is self-guided. All participants will receive a digital map via email within a few days of purchase.
