Walk to Work Day

Walk to Work Day: April 5, 2018

WW2WD sticker chantedoucementalk to Work Day is your day to celebrate the most healthy, sustainable form of transportation: walking!

If you live or work in San Francisco, you can participate. Even if you work far away or across the Bay, just walk 15 minutes of your commute and it counts (get off BART a couple stops early, or park a little farther away). Or if you can, walk all the way!

When you walk to work on April 5, swing by one of our Walk to Work Day Hubs to enjoy FREE coffee and other treats, and enter to win prizes. You can also join Walk SF as a member for only $20 and get a limited-edition “I Walk SF” t-shirt.

Why it Matters: Walk to Work Day is a celebration — and more. Today is about noticing what it’s like to walk in San Francisco, and what would make it better. Whether you usually commute on BART or the bus, or by driving or biking, your trip still starts and ends with walking. Today is about recognizing that we are all pedestrians. We all benefit from streets that are safe and comfortable for people in wheelchairs and on foot.
