Safe Routes to School Partnership

Walk San Francisco has been part of the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Partnership since 2014.

The SRTS Partnership is led by the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency and includes the San Francisco Unified School District and its Office of Sustainability, San Francisco Department of Public Health, San Francisco Department of the Environment, the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, Presidio YMCA Bike Program, Tenderloin Safe Passage, and Walk San Francisco.

As part of the SRTS Partnership, Walk SF leads Walk & Roll to School Day and the ‘walking school bus’ training program. Walk SF also led two webinars in how to get out safely with kids during COVID (learn more).
