Demand Action for Safe Streets on Monday, May 19 at 12:30PM

42 people were killed in traffic crashes in San Francisco in 2024: the deadliest year in a decade.

Meanwhile, the City’s Vision Zero policy has expired and it has no plan for what agencies will do to make our streets safe. And the tragedies continue, with six pedestrians killed this year already.

Enough is enough.

We’re going to City Hall on Monday, May 19 at 12:30pm and we need YOU to join us for any or all of these actions:

  • 12:30 – 1:00PM: Stand in protest and solidarity at a temporary memorial on the steps of City Hall for the five pedestrians who have died this year – all seniors.
  • 1:00 – 1:30PM: Hand-deliver a letter to Mayor Lurie’s office demanding he lead the adoption of a new Vision Zero policy.
  • 1:30PM: Attend and speak at the Vision Zero hearing that Supervisor Melgar has called for at the Land Use Committee of the Board of Supervisors.

RSVP to join us now. Thank you so much for standing up for safe streets with us at this pivotal moment.
