Dear Governor Newsom, I’m writing in strong support of SB 1167, Senator Ashby’s bill to help better address the high-powered "e-motos" that are being advertised and sold as "e-bikes," creating serious safety issues given how fast these vehicle can go and the fact they are currently not being treated like the motor vehicles that they are. This bill is an important and needed step so that cities can better manage and regulate the rapid rise in micromobility devices on our streets. Thank you.
