Let’s get more kids walking safely to school: online & multilingual trainings
We need streets to be safe and inviting for kids and families to get around on foot, especially to destinations like school.
That’s why Walk SF pushed for and won 15 MPH speed limits around all public schools. And it’s why we lead workshops on how to start a ‘walking school bus’ as part of the Safe Routes to Schools Partnership.
A ‘walking school bus’ brings together a group of kids who walk a regular route to school together with a supervising adult. Kids can join in at any point along the way. Walking school buses make it safer and easier for more students to get to school powered by their own two feet.
With SFUSD starting back on August 16, we’re offering our ‘How to Start a Walking School Bus’ on multiple dates and in multiple languages.
