Where do you think Geary Boulevard needs safety fixes the most? Speak out now
Later this year, the Geary Rapid Project will complete construction in the Tenderloin, Western Addition, and Japantown – bringing a range of street safety improvements to life (and speeding up Muni service).
Now, the SFMTA is looking westward to the Geary Boulevard Improvement Project, which will bring safety fixes from 34th Avenue to Stanyan Street. This is our chance to shape final project designs so they include the strongest possible improvements for everyone who walks.
Go to the online ‘open house’ anytime before September 30 to share feedback on corridor-wide issues and specific dangerous intersections.
It’s clear that Geary Boulevard needs major changes. In just the past ten months, two people have lost their lives walking on Geary in the Richmond, including Lawrence Holman, a 68-year-old man who was killed in a crash in December.
So be sure to share your feedback in the online open house, and we will keep you updated on future ways to get involved in this important project.
