Past Walk SF Board President Manish Champsee, receiving the Walk Star Award

More than a hundred Walk San Francisco members attended the annual holiday party at SPUR to celebrate a year of wins including the city’s adoption of new, slower 15-mph speed zone limits at 181 schools, the design of a network of green connections to parks across the city, and the doubling in size of Peak2Peak, with 180 participants joining the eight annual 14-mile walk.

Supervisors David Campos, Jane Kim and Scott Wiener, as well as MTA Commissioner Cheryl Brinkman, also joined members to mark a year of Walk SF successes and spoke to highlight their support for the important work ahead.

If you were unable to attend the event, you can still support Walk SF in winning a strong Pedestrian Action Plan in 2013 to fix the city’s most dangerous streets. Help put an end to the 900 pedestrian injuries that happen every year.
