Do you love to walk? Are safer streets and a more walkable, livable San Francisco important to you? Are you interested in learning more about advocacy, outreach, transportation, urban planning, or how non-profit organizations work? Whether you’ve got a few hours a month or you want to tackle a project in depth, Walk San Francisco has plenty of great volunteer opportunities.

Plus, volunteers are always welcome to assist at one of several annual events including Walk to Work Day, Walk and Roll to School Day, Peak2Peak, World Day of Remembrance, and Woonerven.

There are plenty of fun ways to help, sign up to volunteer:

  • Be an ambassador at a Hub the morning of the event (Hubs are sidewalk sites where people can get free coffee or snacks, other giveaways, and become Walk SF members)
  • Hang posters and way-finding signs
  • Stuff employer toolkits and help prepare Hub materials
