Whether you’ve got a few hours a month or you want to tackle a project in depth, Walk San Francisco has plenty of great volunteer opportunities.
Volunteers are also always welcome to assist at one of our annual events, including Walk to Work Day, Walk and Roll to School Day, Peak2Peak, World Day of Remembrance, and Woonerven.

There are plenty of fun ways to help celebrate Walk to Work Day – Walk SF’s biggest event of the year which celebrates everyone who walks as part of the commute.
- Ambassadors are the face of Walk to Work Day: You’ll give away goodies and help sign up new Walk SF members at a hub on the morning of Thursday, April 5.
- Runners are crucial: You’ll help get materials to hubs around town on the morning of Walk to Work Day.
- Data wranglers: Can’t help out on the day of? That’s OK – you can help enter information from new supporters on one of our two Data Fests on the evenings of Tuesday, April 10 and Wednesday, April 11.
