Gathering Our Words: A Therapeutic Writing Workshop

Online Event with San Francisco Bay Area Families for Safe Streets

Join Families for Safe Streets members from around the country and acclaimed teacher and memoir writer Sarah Saffian, LCSW-R, MFA, for a hands-on workshop focused on memoir writing as a tool to encourage reflection, processing, and discovery. This workshop is for community members affected by any type of crash and will be held online on Monday, May 23 at 4:00 Pacific.

Not a writer? This evening is meant for you! No writing experience necessary and exercises can be done in whatever language (or artform) you prefer. Appropriate whether your crash was recent or long ago. Please bring a pen and paper, typewriter, computer or even a sketchbook.

San Francisco Bay Area Families for Safe Streets brings together people affected by traffic crashes, providing support and ways to channel grief into action. It is one of many chapters around the United States.
