D5 Daylighting Training

Join Walk San Francisco and neighbors in a new effort to ‘daylight’ dangerous streets in Supervisorial District 5  neighborhoods (Hayes Valley, Western Addition, Fillmore, Japantown, Lower Haight, Cole Valley, Duboce Triangle, Haight Ashbury, Inner Sunset).

Daylighting makes streets safer by making people walking and driving more visible at intersections by moving parking spaces back from the intersection.

In this one hour virtual training, we’ll give you everything you need to know to collect data on a neighborhood street so we can get the City to daylight it.

At the end of the training, you can sign up for a street to complete the checklist for each intersection (e.g. what color is the curb painted) and share the checklist information that you collect back with us. Email brian@walksf.org with any questions.
