Remembering pedestrians lost in 2024
Join us Friday, November 1st on Golden Gate Avenue between Jones and Leavenworth from 12 PM to 8 PM for an extraordinary Día de Muertos celebration, part of Psyched! Fest 2024. This free, all-ages outdoor event will immerse you in the rich traditions of Día de Muertos, with live music, cultural performances, and interactive activities.
Walk SF will be creating a traditional Day of the Dead/Día de Muertos altar to honor the precious lives of the 19 pedestrians killed on San Francisco streets this year in traffic crashes. We invite members of the public to visit the altar, remember the lives lost, and share what having safe streets means to them.
Presented by Tenderloin Community Benefit District, San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development, St. Anthony’s, and Larkin Street Youth Services, this event is a cultural celebration you won’t want to miss.
