A key way to win big for safe streets: let’s talk on February 24 at 5:30PM
In the upcoming weeks, we have the chance to strongly influence the City’s approach to safe streets.
What’s at play? The City’s next ‘Vision Zero Action Strategy.’
The Vision Zero Action Strategy is the blueprint for what SFMTA and other city agencies will do to improve traffic safety over the next two years. And we desperately need the next Strategy to move the needle in reducing severe and fatal crashes.
But how can we make this happen? It’s going to require all of us – with unified voices and at every opportunity – pushing for a Strategy focused on proven solutions that can quickly get on the ground at a meaningful scale.
I’m inviting you to join me and the Walk SF team for a Vision Zero Action Strategy briefing on Wednesday, February 24 from 5:30-7:00PM.
This briefing will include a friendly, lively discussion with people like you who care about safe streets. Walk SF staff will present:
- Where the City’s at with Vision Zero.
- What other cities around the country and world are doing to gain real traction with Vision Zero.
- What Walk SF plans to push for in the new Vision Zero Action Strategy – and why we think it’s the recipe for success.
Now is when we need you to step up as a voice for safe streets. I think this briefing will make it easy and inspiring to get involved, and I really hope to see you on the 24th!
Eager to step up right now? Take the SFMTA’s survey on the next Vision Zero Action Strategy by March 5 (Spanish, Chinese, and Tagalog surveys are also available here).
