An important (and crazy) story for you today on #GivingTuesday

 In Uncategorized

I have a story that’s crazy but true, and is one of the reasons I co-founded Walk SF.

25 years ago, the City’s policy was to paint zebra-striped continental crosswalks only in school zones – even though this simple solution increases the likelihood of a driver yielding to a pedestrian by 30%. Crazy, right?

So Walk SF fought to change this. And Walk SF won.

I’m so proud to be a co-founder of Walk SF because they consistently fight for – and win – the changes needed to help protect us as pedestrians.

It’s why today on #GivingTuesday, my wife Nancy and I will match every donation to Walk SF, up to $15,000.

I don’t know about you, but it feels like we face more threats than ever as pedestrians.

Most cities don’t have a nonprofit like Walk SF. But we do.

This is why Nancy and I want to be sure Walk SF has the resources needed to fight and win in more ways than ever.

So will you help us give Walk SF the best Giving Tuesday ever? Today only, your gift will go twice as far.

Let’s fund the policy, advocacy, and organizing we need Walk SF to do on behalf of everyone who walks. Because we need safe intersections, safe speeds, and safe streets and sidewalks for all!

Together, we can power the wins needed. Please: donate today so Nancy and I can double your support of Walk SF!
