Ask undecided Bay Area legislators to vote YES on SB 961, the lifesaving speed technology bill
SB 961 is common sense, lifesaving legislation by Senator Scott Wiener that would require all cars and trucks manufactured or sold in California starting in 2030 to give an audio and visual alert to drivers when they’re going more than 10 MPH above the speed limit.
SB 961 was passed by the full California Senate and now faces a full California Assembly vote likely on Monday, August 19.
We need your help putting the pressure on seven undecided Bay Area Assemblymember to vote YES on SB 961 – and you can and should contact these folks even if you aren’t in their district.

If passed, SB 961 would bring needed safety technology into the vehicle fleet in California and likely our entire country – just like when seat belt laws started at the state level. Learn more about SB 961.
