Join us for walk audits on dangerous streets in April: Lincoln and Guerrero

 In Uncategorized

Want to shape and speed up safety fixes on two deadly streets?

Then join us for an upcoming walk audit on Sunday, April 2 on Lincoln Avenue and/or Saturday, April 15 on Guerrero Street!

Dozens of miles designated ‘high-injury’ streets await safety improvements. These include Lincoln Avenue, which runs alongside the south side of Golden Gate Park, and Guerrero Street in the Mission.

Plans are now in the works for Lincoln and Guerrero to get ‘Vision Zero Quick Build’ projects. Quick Build projects use paint, posts, signs, and signals to design a street for greater safety for all.

The SFMTA has funding for and made a commitment to complete dozens of miles of Quick Build projects on high-injury streets by the end of 2024.

Here at Walk SF, we want to be sure the community is engaged in shaping these projects and be sure these projects really happen – you guessed it – quickly (within months)!

Your involvement can make sure that happens on Lincoln and Guerrero.

Join Walk SF for a walk audit where we’ll systematically look at current pedestrian and traffic safety issues – and decide what we think is needed to keep us safe.

You can help us identify and build support for serious changes. So come on out to a walk audit this April!
