What the new Biden administration could mean for safe streets

This week we were abuzz with the news that Polly Trottenberg, New York City’s powerful force for safe streets and Vision Zero, was nominated to serve as Deputy Secretary of Transportation.

And this was on top of reading about how Secretary of Transportation nominee Pete Buttigieg thinks about streets and cities.

It’s high time that traffic safety gets real attention at the national level. That’s why Walk SF signed on with organizations across the country in calling for President Biden to commit to reduce roadway fatalities to zero by 2050.
