DESCRIPTION:The JFK Promenade is turning five years old!\nIt’s been five years since JFK Promenade was closed to cars and opened to people! Come celebrate this safe\, car-free space on Sunday\, April 27 from 12:00 – 3:00 PM.\nDo you love JFK Promenade? Then join Walk SF\, partners\, and friends at an afternoon picnic to enjoy this wonderful space together! \nWhat: Meet friends or make new ones at this lovefest of JFK Promenade. Besides family-friendly activities and lawn games\, we have extra fun planned this year: \n\n12:30: History of Car-Free Spaces in Golden Gate Park with Nancy Botkin\n1:30: Drag Story Hour\n2:30: Shout-Outs\, Special Guests\, Surprises\, & Prize Drawings\n\nWhen: Sunday\, April 27\, 2025 from 12:00 – 3:00PM \nWhere: Peacock Meadow\, which is right next to JFK Promenade\, between the Conservatory of Flowers and McLaren Lodge\n\nBring: A picnic and blanket. Please pack it in and pack it out to minimize waste.\n\nWho: Anyone and everyone who loves the JFK Promenade!\n\nAccessibility: Within a block\, there are 3 ADA spots at McLaren Lodge and 4 where Nancy Pelosi Dr meets JFK Promenade. The large\, free surface ADA lot behind the Music Concourse has direct pickup for the free shuttle to Peacock Meadow. Please pack it in and pack it out to minimize waste.\n\nInvite: Anyone and everyone who loves the JFK Promenade!\n\nWhat: Meet friends or make new ones.
