Share Your Gratitude for a Car-Free JFK Drive
Thank city leaders for creating safe, car-free space during coronavirus
On April 28, Mayor London Breed officially closed JFK Drive in Golden Gate Park from Kezar Drive to Transverse Drive 24 hours per day for safe space for exercising with social distancing.
Now, more than four months into its closure, a car-free JFK Drive continues to be incredibly important for our health during coronavirus.
We need to be sure key city leaders know how much we all value this safe space so it continues even as attractions in Golden Gate Park reopen.
We also need to be sure solutions move forward quickly to make this space is accessible for all, especially seniors and people with disabilities.
Send a personal message to Mayor London Breed and Phil Ginsburg at SF Rec and Park, whose leadership made this happen. Your email will also go to the three Supervisors whose districts border Golden Gate Park: Gordon Mar, Sandra Fewer, and Dean Preston.
One more thing. If you’re out in the park, take a photo and share your thanks on social media with Mayor Breed’s handle (@londonbreed). #CarFreeJFK
