San Francisco Bay Area Families for Safe Streets Chapter
San Francisco Bay Area Families for Safe Streets brings together people affected by traffic crashes, providing support and ways to channel grief into action.
The San Francisco Bay Area Families for Safe Streets community meets once a month, mostly online but sometimes in-person (or hybrid). All those who have been affected by a traffic crash are always welcome and encouraged to attend!
Our January 16, 2024 meeting from 6:30 – 8:00PM will be in-person at Walk SF’s office at 2601 Mission Street, Suite 400. If you can’t come in-person, we are offering a hybrid option for people to join via Zoom from 7:00 – 8:00PM.
At our meetings, we: 1) share updates and opportunities on key campaigns, 2) hear what’s happening with the national Families for Safe Streets movement; 3) discuss the needs of the group; 4) celebrate wins; and 5) welcome new community members and connect with each other.
At the January 16 meeting, we will: continue to celebrate the speed camera win, debrief on World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims and start planning for the 2024 event, discuss possible campaigns for 2024, and more!

If you have not attended a Families for Safe Streets meeting before, we will reach out to you beforehand to get to know you and understand your connection to the issue of traffic violence.
