Walk with us through the "Trendyloin" on April 24

 In Events, Walks

Join Walk SF next Sunday, April 24, as we connect the upscale and the downtrodden in the Tenderloin, Polk Gulch, and Lower Nob Hill.

Walk SF member and urban planner Michael Jacinto will guide us through the changes afoot in one of the West Coast’s oldest and most storied walking neighborhoods. We’ll explore the transitions between Union Square’s upscale retail and affordable housing developments, find little-known pockets of open space and historic Nob Hill homes, and make our way along the transit and retail corridors of Geary and Polk Streets.

  • Sunday, April 24thRSVP-Button
  • 1pm – about 3pm
  • Free for members! ($10 for non-members)
  • Please RSVP

We’ll start at Hallidie Plaza, above the Powell BART and Muni station.  (Look for folks in “I Walk SF” tshirts!) There will be some hills, but we will adjust our pace to accommodate all walkers.  We’ll end on Van Ness with access to the 47 and 49 bus lines.

Join us for what promises to be a very varied walk through the contrasts and contradictions at the heart of our city!
