Walk San Francisco is pleased to announce the hiring of our new Executive Director, Elizabeth Stampe.

Elizabeth comes to Walk SF with an extensive background in making the Bay Area a better place to live by improving transportation, land use, and environmental policy. A 15-year San Francisco resident, she was with Greenbelt  Alliance for eight years, most recently as communications director.

Before joining us, Elizabeth spent a year traveling through Asia and South America, experiencing some varied transportation options en route! Now she’s back on home turf, eager to make the streets of San Francisco safer and more vibrant.

Elizabeth has “hit the ground running” (see today’s San Francisco Examiner story) here at Walk SF, and she’s eager to grow our membership and build a stronger voice for pedestrians in our city.

Join us in welcoming Elizabeth! You can reach Elizabeth by email at elizabeth (at) walksf.org.
