Have you ever wondered why your heart beats faster when you exercise? Or what exactly those “power” drinks do for you when you’re sweating? During this interactive walking tour, you’ll experiment with balance, learn how food fuels your body, and monitor your vital signs along the way. Learn about what’s happening inside your body during a typical exercise routine, as you scale some of the city’s most scenic inclines and saunter through hidden alleyways.
Enjoy incredible views of the city and–bonus!–test your San Francisco trivia smarts with a contest by Ellen Campbell, one of Walk SF’s favorite walk leaders. Ellen will be sharing her knowledge and a selection of chocolate prizes on this dynamic and engaging tour. This benefit walk will cover 2-3 miles and will wrap with eats and drinks at a local watering hole. Snacks will be provided along the way.
Date: Saturday, March 9, 1 – 3 p.m.
Meeting Location: Sydney Walton Square Park (Front Street and Jackson Street)
Minimum Donation: $35 for Walk SF members, $45 for non-members. This is a special benefit walk by Discovery Street Tours. If you’re not already a member, simply join today.
